Comment on an indicator, activity and form record

Users can comment on Activities, Indicators and Records within a custom form.

General commenting features

You can mention colleagues and tag them in a comment by entering "@(their name)" (Example: @Jane Smith).

When users are mentioned in a comment, they receive a notification of when and where they have been mentioned. 

If users have enabled email notifications, they will also receive an email.  

Users can click the Show button to easily access the item where they were mentioned and reply if needed.

You can edit and delete your comments.

The comments icon is displayed differently depending on whether or not the item contains comments (read or unread) or if you are mentioned in comments:

Note that the circled number reflects the number of unread comments (up to "9+"). A red circle means there is a mention for you, but it does not show the number of mentions.


Commenting indicators

To comment indicators:

  • You can go to the logframe page. (design page or data entry page)
  • Click on the commenting icon.
  • A new panel will appear where you can read and type comments for that particular indicator.

You can also access the comments on the data entry page.


Commenting activities

To comment on activities:

  • You can go to a project's activity list
  • Click on the commenting icon.
  • A new panel will appear where you can read and type comments for that particular activity.

You can also access the comments from an activity's dashboard.


Commenting records in forms

You can leave comments in a form for each record. To do so:

  • You can access the list of records.
  • Click on the commenting icon.
  • A new panel will appear where you can read and type comments for that particular record.
